An evening of instrumental music in the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan

On December 9, 2016 in the Grand reading room of the National Library of the Republic of Tatarstan an evening if instrumental music was held. The event was organized as part of “Musical evenings in Ushkova House” project. The final meeting of the year was dedicated to loyal visitors and friends of the library – opera lovers’ club that celebrated it’s 30th anniversary.

Among the honorable guests, there were a trumpeter and Honored artist of the Republic of Tatarstan Roman Mudarisov and a concertmaster, professor and People’s artist of Republic of Tatarstan Margarita Kovarskaya. They presented the program of foreign, Russian and soviet composers such as Robert Schumann, George Gershwin, Jerome Kern, Sergei Rachmaninoff, Yan Frenkel, Arno Babajanian. The performance of pieces of music by Tatar composer Röstäm Yaxin caused a surprise and delight among the attendants. The romance called “Native land” (“Tuğan yağım”), neatly put to trumpet and piano, attracted the audience. The stirring “Adagio”, written by Italian Baroque composer Tomaso Albinoni, was met with applauses this evening as it was magnificently performed by the musicians.

The stunning musical program as well as inspirational performance became a remarkable pre-New Year present for all the visitors.
